Threads is a new app launched by Meta Platform (Facebook, Instagram) which is an alternative to Twitter now known as X. The new Threads app allows individuals to follow peoples and share text, images and videos. However, at times when you dislike some content or profiles, you may want to block or unblock someone that is mistakenly blocked.

How to Block Someone on Threads?

Step 1: Open Threads and locate the profile of the person you want to block.

Step 2: Click on the 3 Dots at the top of the Profile Page and a popup window will appear showing different option including Block.

Step 3: Click on Block button and a popup message will appear requiring confirmation to block the person or not. Click on the “Block” button at the bottom to proceed.

Note: When you block someone on threads, the person will not receive any notification.

How to Unblock Someone on Threads?

If you want to unblock someone, the process is similar to the one shown above for Blocking. However, instead of the Block option you will see Unblock button. However, if the profile is already hidden and you can locate in the Home Feed, then you have to go to Settings to find the profile of the person and unblock it.

Step 1: Go to Threads Home screen and click on your Profile Icon.

Step 2: Click on the 2 Lines at the top right side of your Profile to load Settings of your Profile.

Step 3: Click on “Privacy“.
