Handy for Work: The 6 Best Smartphones for Business People

Some of The Best Smartphones for Business People

A good smartphone can be invaluable in certain lines of work, especially if you know how to use its features to their full potential, and have a quality device in the first place. Deciding what mobile phone to buy for work-related purposes can be a bit tricky, as different jobs rely on different features in their “ideal” handset. Here are some good choices for you to consider.

1) iPhone 5C

The iPhone 6 may be out, but you can do just fine with its predecessor if you need a solid device with good work capabilities. It’s not cheap, sure – but you know what you’re getting for when it’s an Apple product, and the iPhone 5C is one of the best devices on the market at the moment in terms of responsiveness, usability of its interface, and overall presentation. No annoying crashes, weird menus or a complicated interface – everything just works. The device is compatible with a wide range of software and connectivity features as well, making it ideal for sharing your work documents. As for the price it can be purchased for around $380 dollars or Rs. 37,000/- in Pakistani currency.

2) HTC One M8

A powerhouse of a mobile phone, the HTC One M8 has absolutely everything you’ll need, both hardware- and software-wise. The device packs one of the most serious hardware configurations on the market at the moment, and no matter what kinds of apps you need to run on it, it will handle them. And then, when you consider the Android KitKat operating system and its great speed and flexibility, this is one of the best choices at the moment. M8 is slightly more expensive than iPhone 5c, you can purchase it at price of $440 dollars or Rs. 44,000/-

3) Nokia Lumia 1020

Nokia’s Lumia line of phones is quite diverse and offers something for everyone. The 1020 is marketed primarily at keen photographers, with an unbelievable 41-megapixel camera. The phone’s usefulness definitely extends beyond the realm of photography though, as its 2 GB of RAM, powerful processor, large, crystal clear AMOLED screen and the fantastic Windows Phone operating system make it a very capable business device.

One of its best features is that it comes with Microsoft’s Office Mobile, which makes reading and editing documents on the go child’s play. You may be skeptical at the idea of writing a document on your phone, but you have to try it once to believe it. The camera comes in great handy for scanning documents in flawless quality as well, especially when combined with the Office Lens app. You can buy this phone at price of $490 dollars or if you are in Pakistan, you can get it for Rs. 48,000/-

4) Blackberry Z10

People have been poking fun at Blackberry’s current situation, but the truth is that the company is holding up more than well, and still knows how to please the business crowd. The Z10 was the first entry in their new BB10 line of phones, and it’s still one of their best devices. The BB10 operating system is lightning fast, packed full of features aimed at business users, and is very intuitive to use as a whole. The Z10 offers airtight security, great connectivity features (the NFC implementation is the best on the market at the moment), and a smooth user experience. Blackberry Z10 is priced at Rs. 22,000/- in Pakistan and about $220 usd in USA.

5) Samsung Galaxy Note 3

The Galaxy Note 3 became an instant classic when it came out, and for a good reason. The phone offers one of the best Android experiences on the market right now, and while its pre-loaded apps can get on your nerves at times, the rest of the experience is nothing short of amazing. This is one of the faster Android phones at the moment, and it will give you a great value for your money, especially if you’re interested in editing documents with images, in which case you’ll find the included stylus a very handy addition. While it is one of the best one in terms of specs, it is also one of the most expensive one as well, Galaxy Note 3 price in Pakistan is roughly Rs. 53,000/-

6) Google Nexus 5

And sometimes, you don’t need a phone packed full of fancy features to consider it a good business device. Sometimes, you just need a handset that offers a clean, streamlined experience while still giving you the ability to utilize the full potential of its hardware and operating system.

For those of you looking for something like that, the Nexus 5 is the ideal solution. It’s a clean Android experience, meaning that it comes with no bloatware or unnecessary pre-installed apps, which makes sense considering it’s a flagship device for Google. This is the definite Android experience if you’re looking for a well-rounded device. Nexus 5 price is around Rs. 36,000/- in Pakistan and about $360 rest of the world.
