Websites are commonly used by companies today to advertise their products and services. Apart from that their website should also come along with good SEO so that visitors will see it on the search engine pages.

It seems that SEO and web design is two separate processes. I will create a website and after that the SEO will optimize it via content or link building.  However, this is absolutely untrue. Web design and SEO is closely related with each other.  If one of those two is missing the other won’t work.

If my website has a very poor web design, such as poor navigation, the search engines will not be able to do the proper indexing of the web pages. With a bad web design, people will not be aware of my website since they cannot find it on search engines.

How to Know If Your Website Have a Good SEO

One of the most important things that I should consider when creating my website, is how easy it is for search engines to find and navigate the pages of it.  One of the things that I can do find that out is to perform a test and check how many pages the search engines have indexed each time they visit the site.

I can do a test by entering the website along with the site’s URL into a popular search engine. By doing this I will be able to see the number of pages that the search engine has indexed from my site. However, this method could give me varying results and sometimes by a large number of pages.  One of the most accurate ways of checking the page indexing of a website is by using an internet tool designed for this purpose.

To make a website that goes with a good search engine placement, I should know first the number of indexing I should expect from my site. Once I have set a number, I will run several tests and compare the pre-set number to the results I have received.  If the difference is too big, this could be an indication that my website has a problem. Some of the causes of this problem could be a poor site indication or dead links.

Website Popularity and SEO

The website’s popularity is one the things that search engine are basing to when generating their rankings. The benchmark of the popularity of the websites is based to their links but its power degree also varies.  If I am going to create a website with a good SEO I should make sure that its links come from a reliable sources and high ranking sites that produce content regularly.

Links have the highest value when it comes to SEO and if my website has link sources that are in best quality, my site will stand out from against hundreds of other sites each day.  Of course, if I want to make sure that my website is in top quality, hiring the best web designer will be a great help for me.
