3 Things Every Blogger Must Master

This is a guest article by iYingHang, a 17 years old obnoxious teenager who blogs at his Technologies blog Shastera.

All right, so you’ve read the books, attended the seminar and even planned your strategies but you aren’t making any big profits except some pennies from Adsense during your blogging journey. What’s wrong exactly? I can tell you that immediately. You might think that everything is in place, but they aren’t There’s something missing which is – YOU!

Here’s the problem, many people start any business ventures before even thinking if it suits him but any some failures, they decide that it isn’t really suitable for them and they switch. You see, you’re one of the most important factor of all in your life. Everything will and should relate to you. If you have some general knowledge, you will find that each and every famous person in the world has:

  • Strong Beliefs
  • Laser-like Focus
  • Worthwhile Education

Strong Beliefs

“Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it can be achieved!”

——–Napoleon Hills

Let me ask you a question. Do you think that the beliefs you have affect you? You bet! When you believe in your mind that you can do something, this belief immediately unlocks your potential and unleashes your power. Slowly, you will achieve greater results.

What you should start doing is believing that you can attract the readers you want, make the earnings you want and thus creating the best ever blog you dreamed of.  You see, not everyone is this world is thumped by limiting beliefs and certainly you can do it.

Let me share with you some beliefs that everybody once thought were true. After all, famous and successful people once said that these words and everyone believed them for years like:

“The Earth is the centre of the universe”

-Ptolemy, Great Egyptian Astronomer

“Nobody will ever need more than 640k RAM in their computer!”

-Bill Gates, Founder of Microsoft

Laser-Like Focus

Internet is one of the reasons why we can blog and also the biggest factors causing us to fail. For example, when everyone starts their browser, they will check their email, commenting on friends’ Facebook wall and also watching the latest YouTube videos. What you don’t know is that this is the main factor causing us to fail miserably in our blogging ventures. Whenever I started the first line of my new blog post, I will suddenly reply some instant messages from my best friend and switching to call my girlfriend on Skype. So what’s my solution? Easy, I logged into my router, set about 2 hours as no-internet hour so I can focus on my blogging venture and guess what? My productivity soared!

Anthony Robbin’s mentor Jim Rohn once said:

“Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you can’t get more time.”

So you need to focus all your effort on giving out first. The money you dream of will definitely follow later. I don’t mean giving out services for free but I mean that there’s no free lunch in life, you need to pay for it.

Worthwhile Education

Education isn’t something that everyone missed by it’s just misapplied. For most bloggers, they download the ebooks, listen to podcasts and watch interviews. Then they put them into some dark folders where it will never see the daylight. So do I mean they didn’t learn anything? No, they did learn something but they trust their brain to store it which makes it pretty sure that he/she will never remember it.

So in order for us to apply the knowledge that we are attempting to take on board, we must translate the information to our own language. This might sound technical but what I am just trying to say is never just read or learn something. Apply it!

Its amazing how people tell you something and then quite the opposite occurs. There are heaps of examples of people telling things like this. Often bloggers are told that they will never be successfull, and then there is that random chance in which they change the odds and do become successful. “Just like the earth being the center of the universe.”

The last one is very interesting to me as you can not apply your local approach to worldwide education 🙂
