Samsung Galaxy S4 Review

Finally, in New York the official presentation of the fourth generation of Samsung Galaxy S smartphones took place. And we have a story to tell you about the new leading phone of the South Korean manufacturer.

The new phone has got a larger  4.99-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and pixel density of 441 ppi.

The international version of the Samsung Galaxy S IV will come with the Exynos chip 5 Octa which includes a 4-core Cortex-A15 1.8 GHz 4-core Cortex-A7 and GPU PowerVR SGX 544MP3.

Also there will be released another version of the smartphone for some markets, and so this version  will get Qualcomm Snapdragon chip 600 with a 4-core Krait 300 and Adreno 320 graphics core. Both versions will support the LTE standard and equipped with 2 GB of RAM.

The main camera of Samsung Galaxy S 4 is a 13-megapixel, front – 2.1 Mp. Externally, as you can see, the new product is very similar to the Galaxy S III, but it is thinner (7.9 mm vs. 8.6). The smartphone is also lighter than the one of the third generation, and it is despite the large capacity battery – 2600 mAh vs 2100.

The new gadgets will be available in versions with 16, 32 or 64 GB of memory; all versions have a slot for microSD.

Samsung Galaxy S IV has the IR port, so it can be used as a remote control your TV and other gadgets in the house.  The Galaxy will work with the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Among the new interesting features several are worth noting, including Dual Camera mode, which allows you to take photographs and record video simultaneously with two cameras. Now it has a Story Album which collects the files, photographed in different modes, records from social networks, geo photos, weather, all sorted by time period.

S Translator feature was added to S Voice. It translates text to voice and vice versa. Air View lets you bring your finger to a contact or a small photo (even touch screen is not necessary) to get more information about the object. Of course, the smart phone supports a variety of standard gestures for actions that can be customized to your habits.

Other interesting features are Smart Scroll and Smart Pause. They start watching your eyes, when you, for example, read something in the browser, and automatically turns over, if you get to the bottom of the page. The second feature puts the video on pause when you take your eyes off the screen.

The smartphone is equipped with a smart alarm clock that takes into account your biorhythms and automatically adjusts of volume dynamics to your personal physical characteristics. S Health application keeps tracking of all the important parameters, it has a pedometer and it keeps a diary of observations. There will be released interesting accessories specially for Galaxy S IV: Heart Rate MonitorCardiosensor, scales with the wireless module and a number of others.

Samsung Galaxy S IV will be available for sale in black and white variants in April.

    Can’t wait to get my hands on this device. The tech specs can oust the likes of apple for good and yeah, Samsung has been my all time favorite.
