Apple releases patch for Mac OS X that fixes graphic issues

There’s no need to mention the popularity of Apple and Apple’s products. Over the years we’ve seen all sorts of amazing products from this company such as iPod, iPhone, and iPod, but besides them Apple is famous for its computers. As you know, Macs have been present for a while and they are part of the computer history. Besides that they are part of the history they provide outstanding quality and design and this is the main reason why are they so popular among the users. The Mac OS X, a Unix-based graphical operating system developed by Apple powers all Macs. Mac OS X has provided all sorts of features to the users such as great multimedia experience but as we know, Mac computers aren’t suitable for gaming. Recently many games have been ported to Mac and Mac has become a true gaming platform. Nowadays many games work on Mac but since gaming is still a relatively new feature on Mac, it still comes with certain issues.

As you might remember, a while ago many Mac OS X users have reported that they have experienced graphical glitches during gaming. Apple has decided to put an end to this so we got an update for Mac OS X that fixes these glitches. This patch is targeted for Mac OS X 10.6.4 users, with its 69.2MB in size it contains performance and stability fixes for graphical applications. Fixed applications are Portal and Team Fortress 2 that have experienced frame rate issues on certain Macs. Besides that, additional issues have been fixed such as unexpected quitting and crashing on Aperture 3 or StarCraft II. In addition, this update fixes image corruption issues that may occur while disconnecting and reconnecting external displays while the system is running. Patch is available from company’s support site or via Software Update.
