In this post we are going to Redirect blogger to a custom domain. The process is very simple. The only thing we need is a Custom Domain. You can buy domain from any Domain Provider, But make sure that Domain Provider allow you to change the DNS setting for your Domain. Every webhosts has there own DNS setting. For Example for blogger it is (ghs.google.com). So here we are going to set the DNS setting for our Domain name bought from any Domain Provider as (ghs.google.com)
Redirecting blogger to a Custom Domain using namecheap domain.
Lets say you bought the Domain name from namecheap.com then Simplay follow the below steps to redirect blogger to a custom domain.

- Buy Domain from namecheap.com
- Login to your namecheap.com account
- Type your Domain name at “Quickly Modify one of your Domain Name” area.
Click on the Modify>> button and wait for the next page.
Now Find “Host Management” and Click on “All Host Records”
Type your Domain name and DNS setting. Just like the below screen shot. DNS for blogger is ghs.google.com
After typing your domain name and DNS setting click on “Save Changes” Now Login to your Blogger account. Select the blog and click on the “Setting” button.
Now Click on “Publishing” button and find the link which says “Advance Settings for Custom Domain” and click on it.
Type your Domain name including www and click on “Save” button. Wait for 48 Hours and your blogger blog will be now redirecting to your new Custom Domain.
Similarly you can also Redirect your blogger blog using domain name bought from any Domain Provider like Godady, maddogsdomains, bigdady etc.. But you must add DNS setting as ghs.google.com. When I moved from Blogger to wordpress, I was very confused between NameServers and CName entries. But its very clear by now. Thanks for this tut! Will be helpful for first timers.
DNS is not so confusing and for blogger it is very simple. Just addghs.google.com in your DNS setting area and that’s all. It does not matter from where you bought the domain, but it matters if the domain provider will not give you access to the DSN setting.
